Embrace Your Geekness Day

WOW!!!  It’s JULY 13th a day we celebrate Geekness Day!!  How fun right??  Geekiness isn’t just about being weird or liking weird stuff geekiness is more about loving things that interest you and those things make you interesting.

I don’t like to call myself a Star Wars geek but I love Star Wars and I mean the originals before the prequels/sequels came along.  As a kid, I ran around in my R2D2 under-roos.  He was my favorite, today my favorite is Chewie. The Chewbacca who I also named my happy Shih Tzu after is my total geek out moment.

Here’s a list some fun ways to embrace your inner geekness!

“embrace your geekness”

Visit ThinkGeek

ThinkGeek is my one stop shop for buying things from all my favorite movies or finding fun trinkets.  I’m still on the hunt for T’Challa, Nakia, Shuri, M’baku and Okeye (my favorite) of all.  I’m been looking for the Funko Pops of each one but haven’t had any luck locally just cause I wanna see them in person and giggle at how cute they are.  *sidenote…they are on Amazon sitting in my cart though.

Spend an hour in GameStop

GameStop also owns ThinkGeek but that shouldn’t stop you from going to see the latest and greatest in gaming. From PC to the latest PlayStation 4 releases you will certainly enjoy yourself browsing around and doing a test run of new releases.

Binge, Binge, Binge, your fave show

That’s right.  It’s the perfect time to jump on board that show you may be embarrassed to admit you don’t watch and there’s a total fandom behind it.  For me, that show would be Game of Thrones.  I totally missed the boat on it and have started the series 3 times only to make it thru the 1st two episodes. I have also managed to see the red wedding episode only because I didn’t fall to sleep during the episode.

So how will you embrace your day of geekness?  Feel free to share with me and follow me on the Insta (#wpdmedia) to see how I embrace my geekness.
